Formations
When fighting against an enemy, the formations used by both sides will play a crucial role in the outcome of the battle. Dynasty Saga provides 8 Battle Formations for you to employ with each formation having its own unique strengths and weaknesses. Your Generals may be placed anywhere within a formation so makes sure you place him in a position that makes best use of his assets.

There are 8 different formations in Dynasty Saga. Each gives a unique boost and places your Generals in different spots around the battlefield. Level 2 Formations have 3 slots, level 5 formations have 4 slots, and level 10 formations have 5 slots.

a. You won't be able to get through the game using just one formation; you’ll want to diversify with at least two formations to give you options for countering your opponents.
b. Looser formations like the Seven Star Form, Wild Goose Form, or Arrowhead Form will be relatively safe from both column and row attacks. Anvil Form, Serpent Form and other tighter formations excel at dealing damage under most circumstances, but they are generally easily countered.

The attacker will always attack first, followed by the defender. They will exchange attacks until every general has taken action, at which point the round will end.
c. Too many Gambit Heroes will muddle your strategy; you never know which ones will activate their Gambits first, and you can’t afford to give them all high level Horses. A siege unit or two will be a good addition to any formation, but too many will easily be countered by units with high block or dodge rates. A well balanced strategy is your best bet, unless you’re aiming for an extremely specialized strategy.
d. Attack order for the attacking side is as follows (Attacking and Defending attack order are mirrored):
The attacker will always attack first, followed by the defender. They will exchange attacks until every general has taken action, at which point the round will end.
e. Generals will always attack the opponent directly across from them. If there is no opponent remaining directly across from them, they will attack enemies in the column above them, from front to back.
